Print sizes:
My standard images have a longest dimension of approx. 33.7 cms and are printed on A3 paper. This is most suitable for framing to 50 x 40 cms. Other print sizes are also available to special order. The largest prints  that I generally make are on A3 plus paper (48.3 x 32.9 cms, 19 x 13 inches). However larger prints may be available.

Photographs are normally supplied unmounted and unframed ready for posting in a cardboard tube or flat box.

Paper and Inks
All prints are of archival quality, and are produced on an Epson E2880 printer (a professional printer that utilises the latest generation of inks). My exhibition photographs are mostly printed on a heavyweight paper that has a matt surface and a slight texture. On request I can also supply photographs printed on glossy paper.

Properly framed and mounted, the fade resistance of the prints made on these printers is generally rated at 80 - 100 years.

Limited Edition Prints:
Photography, by it's technical character, allows for the production of multiple identical or different original images from a negative or digital file.  The concept of producing limited numbers of prints is therefore artificial and for this reason none of my photographs are sold as "limited editions". I hand-print each protograph to order myself, and don't use other printers to produce "giglee prints" for me.

Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay" is an name for the process of making fine art prints from a digital source using ink-jet printing. The word "giclée" is derived from the French language word "le gicleur" meaning "nozzle", or more specifically "gicler" meaning "to squirt, spurt, or spray". It was coined in 1991 by Jack Duganne, a printmaker, to represent any inkjet-based digital print used as fine art.

Generally the numbers of prints I make of any one photograph are extremely limited because I update my portfolio so frequently. Although your print may not bear a number, it will almost certainly be one of only a dozen or so that I will ultimately produce.

For customers who are able to collect
My standard photographs  can also be supplied with a "snow white" card matt at a small additional cost. This  matt has an aperture which is bevel-cut to fit the photograph. These mounted photographs are ready to fit into a frame with a standard size of 40 x50 cms.

I regret that, as yet, I have not discovered an economical and safe method of mailing framed or mounted prints to customers further afield.
